It pays to snoop around.

As I mentioned last time, I don't do a lot of mining these days. However, that doesn't mean I don't do it at all. I just need a good reason to un-dock the Blue Bucket and heat up those strip miners. Kernite is always a good reason!

For the newer Industrialists out there, this is a gravimetric anomaly. You scan them down with Core probes. This one wasn't too hard to locate. When the gravimetric anomalies are larger and have more valuable ore in them they are sometimes impossible to lock down unless all your scanning skills are maxed. Mine aren't but I'm working on it. They are, however, level IV across the board so I do alright.

What does this matter you may ask? Take a look at the sec rating for my home system. It's 0.8. Kernite is normally a low-sec ore. One way to make some good ISK without the risk is to scan these things down and exploit them. I had this one all to myself. It had 8 kernite 'roids in it: two fiery, two luminous and four regular 'roids.

This brief interlude netted me a cool 9M for about 90 minutes work. I think my time's worth 100K a minute. I bet your's is too. Train those scanning skills carebears. It isn't just for scouts and PVP!

Fly careful!

Be civil, be responsible and most of all be kind. I will not tolerate poor form. There will be no James Hooks here. We are all better than that.
